BİRLEŞİM MÜHENDİSLİK 2023 ANNUAL REPORT 94 INTRODUCTION Health, safety, environment & quality Birleşim Mühendislik understands Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSE-Q) management as being a mindfulness for the safety and wellbeing of all interested parties, which include not just employers, subcontractors, and employees but also society as a whole and the environment. The goals of Birleşim Mühendislik HSE-Q management are to: · Maintain control of the impact of operations, products, and services on health, safety, the environment, and quality and reduce their associated hazards and risks · Increase operational safety, efficiency, and productivity · Conserve natural resources · Ensure customer, employee, visitor, user, and community satisfaction · Increase competitive strength and profitability. Birleşim Mühendislik strives to minimize hazards and risks as required by applicable laws and regulations and by contractual obligations and specifications, to conserve natural resources, to safeguard workplace health and safety, and to prevent environmental harm. To this end, Birleşim Mühendislik takes preventive measures to preclude hazards and risks and corrective measures both to curtail losses and to prevent incidents from recurring. The aim of HSE-Q management is to exceed or at least satisfy the expectations of employees, customers, and authorities by constantly improving all inputs, processes, and practices. HSE-Q management is an ongoing, cyclical process in which plans are made, the results of their execution are assessed, action is taken on the basis of results, and ways to make improvements are identified for the next round of planning. This process is fundamental to ensuring that hazards and risks are reduced, that laws and regulations are complied with, and that operational efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability are maintained. As a matter of principle in the conduct of every project, HSE-Q targets are identified beforehand and target performance is reviewed at predetermined intervals. All necessary arrangements are made to ensure that subcontractors and suppliers comply with the project’s HSE-Q targets, that their performance is monitored, and that they are provided with such guidance as may be required. Birleşim Mühendislik personnel are provided with training aimed at equipping them with correct behavioral habits when confronted by and dealing with quality, environmental, energy-efficiency, information-security, and potential health & safety risks and issues.
