BİRLEŞİM MÜHENDİSLİK 2023 ANNUAL REPORT 24 INTRODUCTION Mesut Altan Chair of the Board Mesut Altan graduated from Yıldız Technical University Mechanical Engineering in 1995. Between 1995 and 2002 of his career, he worked as Project Coordinator at Cantes Klima. In 2002, he resigned from this company and founded Birleşim Mühendislik A.Ş., which provides mechanical system solutions. In accordance with the goal of establishing Birleşim Group companies, he added Birleşim İnşaat A.Ş. and Birleşim Makina A.Ş. to group companies in 2006 and 2011, respectively. In 2014, Mr. Altan signed a strategic partnership agreement to purchase 100% of Erde Mühendislik, which is one of the pioneer companies in electrical contracting industry and founded an engineering firm that creates electromechanical contracting solutions to be one of the first in its industry with Birleşim Mühendislik. He made investments in hospitality industry by opening Ataşehir Park-Inn by Radisson Hotel in 2016 and in heavy machinery industry by incorporating Toro Makina A.Ş. to its group companies in 2018. He incorporated Edikli Solar Power Plant, Uluder Solar Power Plant and Gülbahar Solar Power Plant, all licensed plants, under the roof of Birleşim Yeşil Enerji A.Ş. which provides services in renewable energy through acquisition of those plants. Solar Santral Enerji A.Ş., a company that has been active in all aspects of solar power plant project development, installation, and financing since 2020, became a Birleşim Group subsidiary at the end of 2022 after a 70% stake was acquired in the company. Mesut Altan acts as the Chair of the Board and Deputy Chair of the Board at Birleşim Mühendislik A.Ş., Erde Mühendislik A.Ş., Solar Santral Enerji A.Ş., Birleşim Yeşil Enerji A.Ş., Birleşim Makina A.Ş., Birleşim İnşaat A.Ş. within Birleşim Group companies. İbrahim Biner Board Member İbrahim Biner graduated from Istanbul Technical University Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1982. After working as a Mechanical Fixture Design Engineer at Genel Mühendislik company between 1982 and 1986, he joined Alarko San. Tic. A.Ş. in 1986. He worked at Ankara and Istanbul offices of the company, respectively and established Alarko San. Tic. A.Ş. Moscow Office in 1996. After Alarko’s partnership with Carrier, he acted as Assistant General Manager until 2010. In 2010, he worked as the Electromechanical Coordinator of Rönesans İnşaat Libya construction sites. He was the CEO of Birleşim Mühendislik A.Ş. between 2011 and 2012 and he is acting as Member of the Board of Directors at the same company since 2021. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
