BİRLEŞİM MÜHENDİSLİK 2023 ANNUAL REPORT 9 • An electromechanical installation works contract was secured for the İstanbul Eyüp Sultan Göktürk Phase II Housing Development Project. • An electrical installation works project was undertaken at Bezmiâlem Foundation University Hospital. • A building mechanical installation works contract was signed with Doğuş İnşaat ve Ticaret A.Ş. for the Şişecam glass container factory being built in Kaposvar in Hungary. • A decision was made to open a branch in Hungary to further expand Birleşim Mühendislik’s cross-border electromechanical works contracting operations. • A preliminary agreement was concluded with Aydın Sağlık Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for the conduct of the mechanical installation works of a hospital being built in Göztepe in İstanbul. Work under this agreement has begun. • A new contract was signed for additional electromechanical installation works that were requested by the employer under Birleşim Mühendislik’s ongoing Çukurova Airport Project. • All electromechanical installation works being undertaken for the two (43-story 221-meter and 37-story 151-meter) Vakıfbank headquarters buildings being constructed at the İstanbul Finance Center were completed and turned over to the employer. • All electromechanical installation works being undertaken for the Gaziantep municipal hospital being constructed by RMİ Rönesans Medikal Taahhüt İnşaat A.Ş. were completed and turned over to the employer. • All mechanical installation works being undertaken at the 85,000 m 2 Trendyol Ankara logistical center were completed and turned over to the employer. • All mechanical installation works being undertaken at the 59,750 m 2 Amazon İstanbul logistical center were completed and turned over to the employer. 2020 2021 2022 The company completes the renovation of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Turkey’s largest-capacity sports venue. Electromechanical works are completed for a section of the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura Hospital, the third biggest healthcare investment ever undertaken in Turkey. Birleşim Mühendislik and its subsidiary Erde Mühendislik completed the electromechanical works for the Sancaktepe Professor Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital, an emergency-designated project tendered to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, in just 45 days. Mechanical and electrical works are completed for the İstanbul Nişantepe Birbahçe residential and social spaces project, whose construction is being undertaken by subsidiary Birleşim İnşaat A.Ş. Mechanical and electrical works are undertaken for the Medipol hospital in İstanbul’s Bağcılar township. Electromechanical works for the Samsung mobile phone factory, the Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus Hotel, and the Kalyon Jet Hangar projects are completed. Mechanical works for the Court of Cassation’s new services building, a the Turkish Cargo building, and the JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea are completed. An IPO of 38.24% of the company’s capital is completed. Shares begin trading on the İstanbul stock exchange’s BIST Stars market on 20 August 2021. Gaziantep Municipal Hospital mechanical & electrical installation works were undertaken. Çukurova Airport mechanical & electrical installation works were undertaken. Santral Enerji, a company that has been active in all aspects of solar power plant project development, installation, and financing since 2020, became a Birleşim Group subsidiary at the end of 2022 after a 70% stake was acquired in the company. Birleşim Mühendislik and Erde Mühendislik together completed the electromechanical installation works of the Ataşehir Acıbadem and Ataköy Medicana hospitals, both in İstanbul. Birleşim Mühendislik completed the mechanical installation works of the İstanbul International Financial Center’s Borsa İstanbul services building, of the Aydınlı Group’s garment factory in Selimpaşa and its warehouse in Hadımköy (İstanbul), and of the Erman Ilıcak Science Lycee (Ankara). 9
