BİRLEŞİM MÜHENDİSLİK 2023 ANNUAL REPORT 8 INTRODUCTION MILESTONES • Birleşim was awarded the contract for the mechanical installation works of the Borsa İstanbul Project at the İstanbul Finance Center. • For the Temporary Social Housing project that was launched in response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş and ten neighboring provinces on 6 February 2023, Birleşim Mühendislik carried out the electromechanical installation works needed to convert 1,000 containers into livable homes that were provided to those in need. • Ongoing electromechanical installation works continued at the first of two Ziraat REIC towers under construction at the İstanbul Financial Center, while the same works were also begun on the second. • Birleşim subsidiary Solar Santral Enerji A.Ş. signed a turnkey-delivery contract to build solar power plants at four locations in Macedonia. A branch office was also immediately opened in to tap the opportunities presented by the country’s promising solar power landscape. • For Kuzu Toplu Konut İnşaat A.Ş.’s İstanbul Fikirtepe Urban Renewal Project, contracts were secured for the electromechanical installation works in plot 3466-1 dwelling units and for electrical installation works in plot 3461-1 dwelling units. • An electromechanical installation works contract was secured for Kuzu Toplu Konut İnşaat A.Ş.’s Halk Yapı Dilovası Industrial Center Project. • A Medistate Çekmeköy Hospital electromechanical installation works contract was secured. • Solar Santral Enerji signed turnkey-delivery contracts with Japanese-based textile company Aisin A.Ş. and with Dünyagöz Hospitals Group to install solar power plants on their premises. 2023 2016 2017 2018 2019 Electrical and mechanical works are completed on the Watergarden Shopping Mall project, Turkey’s first combined water park and fine dining, entertainment & shopping center. Electrical and mechanical works are completed on the İş REIC Ege Perla housing and office tower project in İzmir. Mechanical works are completed on the İstanbul Levent Ferko Signature office tower project. Electrical and mechanical works are completed on the Centurion Pharmaceuticals factory project in Ankara. The company is included in İstanbul Chamber of Industry’s 2017 second-tier list of Turkey’s 500 biggest industrial concerns. The company receives a Business Initiative Directions (BID) Quality Leadership Award in France. Birleşim Mühendislik completes the Maltepe Piazza shopping mall project. This is the first time the company uses building information modeling (BIM) processes. Birleşim Mühendislik invests in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, using its own IT team and expertise to develop a solution that gives the company more effective control over all of its processes. The company completes the mechanical installation works for the Skyland İstanbul project, Turkey’s tallest and Europe’s eighth tallest building. Erde Mühendislik completes the Adana municipal hospital electrical works. Project works are completed for the Dr. Lütfi Kırdar teaching and research hospital in İstanbul’s Kartal township. Electromechanical works are completed for the Elazığ municipal hospital, a project that began in Erde Mühendislik completes the Bursa municipal hospital’s electrical works.
