The company undertakes the mechanical works of the Dünyagöz Hospitals Group’s project in Ataköy Istanbul, starting a business relationship that continues without interruption in nine of that group’s projects. The company completes the mechanical works of Medicana Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş.’s Beylikdüzü Medicana Hospital and the FOM Group’s Bakırköy Medical Park Hospital, both in Istanbul. Istanbul Astoria Shopping & Living Center mechanical works are completed. The company completes the mechanical works of The Green Park Convention Center in Istanbul. Located in Pendik, the center’s 120,000 m2 of space make it Turkey’s biggest convention center at the time of its completion. The company is awarded a bronze plaque by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in recognition of its high ranking in the 2010 league table of the chamber’s corporate taxpaying members. On April 1 st , the company’s headquarters are relocated to a LEED Gold-certified building in the Istanbul Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone. Located on 8,500 m2 of grounds, the building has a total of about 11,000 m2 of office and storage space. Birleşim Mühendislik’s new headquarters were designed and built to comply with requirements for LEED Green Building certification as a structure that minimizes resource consumption in the course of its lifecycle. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification program for rating buildings of every kind from hospitals to data centers and from historical structures to schools on their performance from a sustainability and environmental perspective. The program has been in operation since the beginning of the 2000s.
