BİRLEŞİM MÜHENDİSLİK 2021 ANNUAL REPORT 9 • An IPO of 38.24% of Birleşim Mühendislik Isıtma Soğutma Havalandırma Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş.’s shares is completed during an opening-bell ceremony at Borsa Istanbul on 20 August 2021 and the company’s stock begins trading on the exchange’s BIST Stars market. 2019 2020 Project works are completed for the Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital in Istanbul’s Kartal township. This training and research hospital is Turkey’s largest base-isolated hospital at the time of its opening. Birleşim Mühendislik and subsidiary Erde Mühendislik complete the mechanical and electrical works of the Elazığ City Hospital, a project that began in 2017. This project, whose financing was supported by Turkey’s first “green/social bond” flotation, consists of two hospitals with a combined bed capacity of 1,038 and a polyclinic. It is one of Birleşim Mühendislik’s biggest-ever healthcare complex projects. Erde Mühendislik completes the Bursa City Hospital’s electrical works. Works related to the renovation of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Turkey’s largest-capacity sport venue, are completed. Mechanical and electrical works are completed on a 645,000 m2 section of the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, whose approximately 1 million m2 of area under construction make it the third biggest investment in healthcare services in Turkey. It is also the biggest hospital project undertaken by Birleşim Mühendislik to date. Birleşim Mühendislik and subsidiary Erde Mühendislik complete the mechanical and electrical works of the Sancaktepe Professor Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital. All works of this emergency-code project tendered by the health ministry to combat the Covid-19 pandemic are completed in just 45 days. Mechanical and electrical works are completed on the Istanbul Nişantepe Birbahçe residential and social spaces project, whose construction is being undertaken by subsidiary Birleşim İnşaat A.Ş.
